REAL LOVE REVOLUTION 2012

posted Mar 1, 2012, 6:03 AM by Catalyst of UA&P   [ updated Mar 1, 2012, 6:09 AM ]

Last year, CATALYST of UA&P gathered around 8,000 students at the SMX Convention Center for an afternoon with renowned speaker, Jason Evert. The participants who came from all over Luzon were greatly moved by the encounter. This year, we are bringing to Manila two equally powerful speakers from the same team of Jason Evert for another extraordinary event that promises to be a memorable experience.

A Finalist of America’s Next Top Model and a Dynamic Youth

Speaker

The first speaker is Leah Darrow, one of the finalists in the 3rd season of the popular reality show, “America’s Next Top Model”. In her powerful presentation, Leah focuses on forgiveness, true love and the ability to change one’s life. For Leah, the slow fade from her Catholic faith didn’t happen overnight; it developed with bad choices, denial of truth and choosing a comfortable life versus an extraordinary life. All that changed during one special photo shoot in which God allowed her to see her soul in its current state. This extraordinary and supernatural grace gave her the courage to change every aspect of her life. Leah’s story is one of true conversion, courage and fortitude.

The second speaker is Chris Stefanick, currently the Director of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry for the Archdiocese of Denver. A graduate of the Franciscan University of Steubenville and an accomplished guitarist and songwriter, Christopher combines his musical talent with drama, humor and gripping stories to effectively deliver the truth of the Gospel. His dynamic presentations and retreats have inspired thousands of teens all over the world to a deeper love for Jesus Christ and his Church.

15,000 Teens at the World Trade Center

On September 1, 2012 (Saturday), Leah Darrow and Chris Stefanick will see probably the biggest crowd they would have ever addressed since they started their crusade. More than 15,000 young people are expected to attend the “Real Love Revolution 2012” at the World Trade Center (Pasay City) from 1:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon, representing students from various schools and colleges from all over the Philippines, and some Asian countries.

YOUTH UNITED FOR THE PHILIPPINES (YUP!)

This is it.

It's time we band together and make our voices heard in the RH bill debate.

Is the bill what the youth need? Will it really benefit us in the future?

The obvious answer is no

We need education. We need jobs. We need true healthcare for all -- and not some bill which proposes to spend Php3 billion of taxpayers' money on unnecessary "services" every year.

We at the Youth United for the Philippines -- or YUP! -- call on all young people and youth groups to join our cause in opposing the RH bill.

We believe that real long-term development for the Philippines is achieved only when reason and ethics are followed. The RH bill is unreasonable because of its unwise choice of investment; it is unethical because of its disrespect for human dignity.

It would be great if you "Like" and share our Facebook page now. Please also forward this email to your pro-life friends and contacts. :)

YUP! for education, jobs, and healthcare for all!
NOPE TO RH BILL!

YUP! is a coalition of youth groups that advocate real long-term progress for the Philippines. We believe that through correct reasoning, ethics, and a positive type of activism, young Filipinos can actualize the future they deserve.

We will have our Launching Event and Pep Rally for Life on Sep 28 at the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), after which we will be on a caravan of youth forums around the country.

"Like" our page to receive updates and learn more about our advocacy. :)

Mission:

1. To give our peers a holistic perspective on social issues we face, particularly those touching on human dignity and universal values.

2. To give voice to the Filipino youth in public forums wherein their future is at stake.

3. To reach as many young Filipinos as possible – they who truly are “the hope of the fatherland” like us.

ROMANCE WITHOUT REGRET: THE MANILA SERIES

Men and women, boys and girls, experience the joys and travails of love and life. Everyone longs for the full satisfaction of the will to give itself entirely to the beloved. However, there are perennial and modern challenges to reckon with … lust, unfaithfulness, instant gratification, worldliness, excessive love of body, pleasure for pleasure sake, in short, selfishness. We are all called by our humanity to get out of our “self” and be completely open to the “other”. This is the only way we can guarantee our happiness despite the many difficulties and dilemmas that we have to confront each day.

Jason Evert, a young husband and father and foremost advocate of pure love in the United States, is coming to the Philippines to talk to minds and hearts of youth, parents, and professional educators. In four days, on 25 February to 1 March 2011, he is expected to help shape lives towards their common destiny of real love, fidelity, and wellbeing. Hear him, LIVE!

LOVE AND LIFE REVOLUTION: Pro-Life and Chastity Conference
