CATALYST is the Outreach, Advocacy, and Leadership Organization of the University of Asia and the Pacific. Be the Change! CATALYST aims to provide UA&P students with opportunities for meaningful service to community and society especially the needy. We hope to accomplish this by organizing various outreaches on a regular basis. The organization will contribute to the achievement of the school’s mission which is “to form committed professionals and encourage them to serve with personal initiative and civic responsibility in the community in which they work, thereby helping build just and harmonious social structure.”
The UA&P students stand to benefit the most from the activities that we intend to organize. The students will acquire various virtues like GOODWILL, COMPETENCE, CHARACTER and TEAM SPIRIT preparing them to become productive members, future shapers and catalysts of society.
VISION
The CATALYST's vision is to CHANGE LIVES through student service projects that uplift the economic, moral and intellectual status of individuals, groups and communities, especially those that are in greatest need; to empower other individuals and groups outside UA&P to change lives in like manner; and to prepare UA&P students to become in the future productive members, shapers and catalysts in society.
MISSION
1. To instill in its members the values and skills of active participation, teamwork and volunteerism. 2. To provide its members and other UA&P students with opportunities for meaningful service to individuals, communities and sectors of Philippine society most in need.
3. To develop its members and other UA&P students the virtue of socio-civic concern and related virtues like leadership, character, initiative, dynamism, solidarity, team spirit and service.
4. To contribute to achieving the UA&P mission “to form committed professionals and encourage them to serve with personal initiative and civic responsibility in the community in which they work, thereby helping build a just and harmonious social structure.”
